When I started This Curvy World in 2017 I was just When I started This Curvy World in 2017 I was just trying to share my story and hope that it may touch others in an effort to promote the idea of loving yourself where you are at and living your best life now.⁠

Over the past 4 years it has blossomed into a larger brand allowing me truly share all the things I am passionate about with a broader audience thanks to all of you!⁠
⁠
I have so many BIG ideas for this brand and felt that it was important to start developing a brand identity.  I am a firm believer that if you want businesses to invest in you, you must invest in yourself!⁠
⁠
So, I have spent some time working with an amazing designer to not only create a logo for my brand Margeaux House/ This Curvy World but to create something that truly reflected who I am. Something that could be used to express  movement, pattern or lifestyle, with vibrant color and a chic sense of style.⁠
⁠
I am excited to share with you my new logo and rebrand which will now be tied into everything I do moving forward. I have so many exciting ideas for cool merch to live on your body and in your home so stay tuned!⁠

1. @materialkitchen The Trio of Knives set and stand.  Knives make a huge difference in easy prep, but you really don't need a 12 pc set  The Almost 4” Knife, The Serrated 6” Knife, and The 8”  are all you really need to prepare any meal. Add The Stand, which magnetically holds 6-8 knives and the ser looks amazing in your kitchen too.

2. I love a great maxi dress but this season I am feeling all of the printed jumpsuits like this one I recently scooped up from @farmrio clothes that make you smile!⁠

3.  The limited edition  Black Magic, Coming 2 America palettes from @uomabeauty are amazing and the perfect pops of color for spring. There are 4 collections each named for an African Queen.  It's all about the eyes these days so I went with the Royal Heritage Collection and can't wait to play around with these beautiful colors for Spring/Summer.⁠

4.  Ok so, if you have a small waist and larger assets :) then these Instant Button Waist Band Tighteners are a life saver.  If you can't make it to the tailor or just need a quick nip in the waist you can pop them onto any pair of pants and they look just like a button. Available @amazon⁠

5. Spring nails are a quick way to bring the happy but not all designs are created equal.  I'm obsessed with @marcheruedix nails.  Every month the feature the most amazing designs or you can work with them to create your own.⁠

6.  I finally got around to reading In Five Years by @rebecca_serle and I wish I had done it sooner.  In Five Years is an unforgettable love story, but it is not the one you’re expecting. ⁠

Do you daydream about your future self? What your Do you daydream about your future self?  What your life may look like in 5 or 10 years from now?  Visualizing your best future and capturing it on paper can help turn your dreams into a reality.

Studies show that writing about your best future self not only helps to improve your happiness, but it can also make your dreams and goals become a reality.  Think of musicians who say that they use to visualize themselves playing sold out arena’s creating vivid scenes using all 5 senses.  Imagining the roar of the crowd, the feel of the lights etc

The principal of imagining or dreaming about your future may subtly affect your thinking in ways you may not consciously be aware of and help your dreams become a reality. Writing is a great way to cogitate on your future self.  It’s also a great way to let go of any anxieties that may be standing in the way of you and your goals.

Try this exercise to move forward toward your best future self.

If you have dreams that feel hard to reach or are filled with fear about what might go wrong write it all down without censoring yourself, even the negative and the scary stuff.  Then take about 5-10 minutes to clear your mind before moving to the next part.  Burning those pages or throwing them in the garbage can be a great way to release the negative thoughts and prepare yourself for your best future self.

Then give yourself no less than 20-30 minutes to imagine your best possible future self.  Visualize yourself using all 5 senses.  You could answer the questions below or any other things that may come to mind to really bring it to life.  If the steps you need to take get there start to take shape in your mind, make not of those too.

What is your career?
Who is with you?
Where do you live?
What are you doing for hobbies or with your free time?
What do you have with you?

When you’re done sit with yourself for a few more minutes and take a listen to your intuition. Do you feel more positive about your future?  Do you find that you’ve thought of more ways to get to where you want to go? 

You can come back to this exercise whenever you feel the need to refocus or maybe even for shorter or longer term goals.

Working around the many pieces we already have but a new outdoor (sofa for some serious lounging), outdoor rug, coffee table and African mud cloth throw pillows will make it feel fresh and re-inspired. ⁠

Everything is ordered... now it's just a waiting game til it comes to life and the  outdoor entertaining and client meetings commence.

This is one of my favorite times of year because it feels filled with newness and possibilities as nature wakes up from the winter slumber. ⁠

Yesterday I began my annual Spring cleaning starting with the back yard. As I cleared the last of the winter debris, just underneath I saw the buds of Spring flowers peaking their heads up from the ground and felt the excitement of the new season. ⁠
⁠
I’ve also been busy working on finishing the concept for our backyard refresh and I can’t wait to share the process with you all very soon!⁠

Have you been low on energy and need pick me up? Have you been low on energy and need pick me up? 

Try using visualization (or mental imagery) to take yourself back to one of your favorite days.  All you need is 10 minutes and a quite place to get the energy boost you need and find a little bit of peace at the same time.⁠
⁠
1.	Find a quiet space where you will be uninterrupted for at least 10 minutes, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to just be.⁠

2.	Bring to the forefront of your mind one of your favorite days.  A day that brought you joy and ease and begin to visualize it in your mind.  See the day through your eyes, as if it is actually happening again.⁠

3.	See this day with as much detail as possible and allow yourself to step back into that day in your mind sending your energy there to give it life. ⁠

4.	Make the memory multi-dimensional by using all of your senses. Try and taste the meal, smell the flowers, feel the sun on your skin, the breeze in the air, see the colors of the sky.  Whatever you can remember about the day that made it so magical.⁠

5.	Stay in your day for as long as you like and when you are ready, take a large deep breath open your eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.⁠
